Doom Patrol premieres tomorrow on the DC Universe streaming service, and to mark the occasion, they have released an extended, four-minute trailer to help introduce us to the show. Be warned prior to watching, that this massive preview has a few spoilers, which includes condensed versions of every major character’s origin story, aside from Timothy Dalton’s Niles Caulder.
After opening with Cliff Steele (Brendan Fraser) waking up as Robotman for the first time, we then get to see everyone’s various abilities in action after the origin reveals, which includes brand new footage of Rita (April Bowlby) losing complete control over her body and Negative Man (Matt Bomer) releasing his energy form. We then see Jane (Diana Guerrero) displaying not only various personalities, but different types of superpowers where, at one point, she shifts into a totally different body.
The show’s main villain, Mr. Nobody (Alan Tudyk), is also introduced, angry that whatever happened to him to make him the way he is, involved either a medical procedure or scientific experiment that went wrong, at the hands of Dr. Caulder.
Premiering on Friday via DC Universe, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser as Cliff Steele, Matt Bomer as Larry Trainor, Diana Guerrero as Crazy Jane, Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody, April Bowlby as Rita Farr, Jovian Wade as Vic Stone and Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder.
