Now we know why Spider-Man might remain Far From Home. In an unsurprising move, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is headed to a galaxy far, far away from the web-slinger.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Busy Marvel Studios Producer Feige is set to develop a new Star Wars film for Lucasfilm. Feige is set to produce the untitled Star Wars movie along with Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy.
It’s never been any type of secret that Feige is a huge Star Wars fan, as we’ve heard him acknowledge his love for the material for a long time now. There have been plenty of winks toward the beloved franchise throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe for many, many years.
While we know nothing about his Star Wars project, this deal he made is said to have come to fruition in recent months, with Kevin having talked with Kennedy and Disney Studio Co-Chairmen Alan Horn and Alan Bergman in the late summer to discuss the project. While things still appear to be in the very early stages of development, Feige is said to have approached a “major actor” concerning a role in a Star Wars movie in which he was hoping to produce.
