Has Audi Revealed Who Comes to the Rescue of Tony Stark in ‘Avengers: Endgame’?

Has a recent announcement from car manufacturer Audi spoiled who rescues Tony Stark in Avengers: Endgame? In the first trailer for the highly anticipated film, we see that Tony Stark is facing certain death as he slowly travels in space in a seemingly powerless vessel.

At this year’s CES (Consumer Electronics Show), in conjunction with their presentation at the event, Audi announced their plan to partner up with Marvel in creating a new virtual reality experience. The plan is to turn the entire backseat of the just-announced “e-tron GT” model into a virtual reality game-playing experience.

Both Audi and Marvel announced that this gaming experience will be named “Marvel’s Avengers: Rocket’s Rescue Run,” which will make the player weave in between asteroids in outer space as they attempt to rescue somebody. So who is it that Rocket could be up in space to rescue? The speculation currently making the rounds is that he’s there to rescue Tony.

Truth be told, this experience from Audi and Marvel may not relate to the movie at all. But being that Rocket was the only Guardian left after Thanos Decimation, it makes complete sense plot-wise that he would want to get back to space in search of the other Guardians (Remember, Rocket has no idea that none of teammates survived “The Snappening.”)

It’s worth noting that this partnership between Marvel and Audi dates all the way back to 2008, with the commencement of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in the very first Iron Man, which featured an appearance by the Audi R8 (new at the time).

Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame may (or may not?) star Robert Downey Jr., Josh Brolin, Mark Ruffalo, Tom Hiddleston, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Chadwick Boseman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Sebastian Stan, Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Benedict Wong, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Karen Gillan, Vin Diesel, Dave Bautista, Pom Klementieff, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie and Tom Holland.

“A culmination of 22 interconnected films the fourth installment of the Avengers saga will draw audiences to witness the turning point of this epic journey. Our beloved heroes will truly understand how fragile this reality is and the sacrifices that must be made to uphold it.”

Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26, 2019.
