In two weeks, Netflix will drop another 13 episodes of their hit series The Punisher. But the question on everyone’s may be just how long it takes for them to cancel the show after that. Late last year, the streaming giant laid the ax to fellow Marvel series’ Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Daredevil weeks after the premieres of their latest seasons.
Some believe that it may have something to do with the upcoming competing direct-to-consumer service Disney+ due to arrive late next year, but no official explanation has been given yet. In any event, check out the trailer that Netflix just dropped below.
In season 2 of The Punisher:
“Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) can run but he can’t hide from who he’s meant to be. Season two finds Frank in all too familiar territory. With Castle’s former brother-in-arms Billy Russo (Ben Barnes) slowly beginning to heal from the traumatic brain injury Frank inflicted on him, it’s only a matter of time before Billy starts to put the pieces of the puzzle back together.”
The second season of The Punisher arrives on Netflix in January 18 and stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle, Ben Barnes as Billy Russo, Amber Rose Revah as Dinah Madani, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Jason R. Moore as Curtis Hoyle, Josh Stewart as John Pilgrim, Floriana Lima as Krista Dumont and Giorgia Whigham as Amy Bendix.
