Just recently, we got what was our best look yet at Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) on a great new image that looks to promote merchandise in-store for Spider-Man: Far From Home:
But now, A new promo image for the film has made its way online. This image gives us a good look at Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Mysterio in their full costumes that will be used in the movie (Mysterio’s being VERY comic-accurate):
Once a skilled stuntman and visual effects wizard working in Hollywood, in the original Spider-Man comic books, Mysterio’s real name was Quentin Beck. Once Beck realized that his skills could only get him so far, he tried to become an actor. But that didn’t work out and he decided to use his impressive special effects talents to become the illusionist supervillain that fans are familiar with. From here, Mysterio went on to one of the prominent members of Spider-Man’s rogues’ gallery.
Peter Parker goes on summer vacation to Europe with his classmates in the film, which is set after the events of this month’s Avengers: Endgame. Spidey is expected to team up with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) to battle the Elementals in the highly anticipated sequel, which is slated to open in theaters on July 5th.
“Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!”
