In its penultimate episode tonight, Gotham pretty much wrapped up the series in what could almost be a series finale, of sorts, in its own right.
For weeks, there seems to have been more ascending storyline developments as opposed to the closing plateau that it should have been playing out all season.
But the final 35 minutes of tonight’s show pretty much wraps up the story of Gotham in a tight, satisfying, quick manner.
The interesting thing is that we still have one last episode left, which airs next Thursday, April 25th. The episode jumps forward ten years, so we get a glimpse of what Gotham has become since Bruce Wayne left the city.
FOX has released a pretty epic, minute-long video to promote the last episode tonight… and a certain Dark Knight actually has something to say. Check it out below.
“The series flash-forwards 10 years into the future, as Bruce is set to return to Gotham for the opening of the new Wayne Tower. A series of crimes leads Gordon to believe Penguin and The Riddler are up to their old tricks. However, when Bullock is framed for a murder, Gordon begins to piece together an even more sinister plot targeting the city, and a new figure emerges from the shadows to be the hero Gotham desperately needs in the all-new ‘The Beginning…’ series finale episode of Gotham.”
Gotham stars Ben McKenzie as James Gordon, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Robin Lord Taylor as Penguin, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Erin Richards as Barbara Kean, and Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth.
